What do we mean by the term night-time economy?
It is a term used to describe a range of activities from a trip to the theatre to a family meal to a night out at a pub/club.
There are clear benefits of a thriving, well-managed night time economy, however licensed premises can create challenges for local communities. These can include crime's such as sexual assault, anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related hospital admissions.
As highlighted the night-time economy covers a range of industries and types of workers, including managerial/supervisory roles such as bar managers, door supervisors, waiter/waitress, street pastors etc, all who have direct contact with the public in many ways.
Are you and your staff equipped to recognise and respond to the warning signs of exploitation, abuse, neglect or spiking?
